Project P.I.T.T. Phase 3 Debris & Rubble Cleanup

“Phase 3 broke my factory” was the game’s loudest launch-week complaint — loud enough that the developer changed the game within a day. Here’s the current state of debris, post-hotfix.

What the hotfix removed

At launch, Phase 3 included a scripted event that could heavily damage automation setups players had spent hours building. On August 20, 2026 Froke shipped a fix: the event has been removed — in the developer’s own words, “The Maw still hungers. The workplace is still unsafe. But your factory should no longer be punished for being a factory.”

If you watched a launch-day video where the facility trashes a factory mid-phase: that specific sabotage no longer happens.

What still drops rubble

Phase transitions still reshape the room and drop immovable debris on whatever was standing there. This is the intended cost of progress, not a bug:

  1. Push wreckage into The Maw. The later fan tiers (the Industrial Turbine class) are explicitly able to shove phase debris — wreckage is feedable.
  2. Rebuild the lane with the new tools. Each phase hands you a better conveyor kit than the one it buried; the automation guide has the shapes.
  3. Don’t rage-quit the save. Nothing is lost permanently — the game is one continuous save and rebuilds are minutes, not hours.

The piñata-stage mess specifically

Phase 3’s product adds its own clutter: bat-smashed piñatas scatter candy, and candy on the floor is money not yet collected. Route both piñata pieces and candy into the same dump lane — arguing piñata-vs-candy by eye wastes time; dump both.

The nuclear option: Clear Items

Update 1.0.5 added a Clear Items button in the pause menu that removes loose items which could otherwise crash or soft-lock the game. Two caveats: it gives no money back, and it clears loose items — it is a lag/emergency tool, not a debris broom. For the achievement-related reasons to keep floor mess sometimes (MESS!, LAG!), see achievements.

If debris buried something important

Key items (fuses, ores, the pickaxe) that get stuck in walls respawn since 1.0.5 — ores go straight to your bank. A cash register you still need for the upstairs puzzle can be re-bought from the shop. And you can always Unstuck yourself out of the wreckage.
